Privacy Policy
This website is operated by The Tyre Soldier Ltd, company number SC780607, registered at Coast Business Centre, 11 Ainslie Street, Dundee, DD5 3RR. We are the data controller for personal data collected through this site. We use customer information only to run the mobile tyre service, respond to enquiries, keep records, and measure advertising where you have allowed it. We do not sell your data.
What we collect
We collect the information you give us when you call, message, submit a quote request, make a complaint, or subscribe for updates. This can include your name, phone number, email address, postcode, vehicle registration, tyre size, urgency, notes, message content, and booking details.
When you visit the website we may also collect technical and marketing information such as the page visited, device or browser type, approximate location derived from your connection, referral source, Google click identifiers such as gclid, and campaign parameters in the URL.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to enquiries, provide quotes, arrange bookings, confirm work, keep service records, prevent spam or abuse, understand which pages and adverts bring in enquiries, and improve the service. Where you consent to optional cookies, we use Google Analytics, Google Ads and similar tools to measure conversions and advertising performance. PostHog (EU Cloud) is used for privacy-focused site statistics with form inputs masked.
Lawful basis
We process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests — to respond to enquiries, provide and improve our tyre-fitting service, and keep accurate records. Our purpose is to run a responsive local mobile tyre business and reach the people who need it; processing is necessary because we cannot quote, book, or carry out a job without your contact, location, and vehicle details; and we have balanced this against your rights and freedoms by collecting only what we need, keeping it secure, masking sensitive inputs in our analytics, and acting on opt-outs. For optional analytics and advertising cookies we rely on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the cookie notice. Where we are required to keep records for tax or legal reasons, we rely on our legal obligation.
Where we rely on a recognised legitimate interest under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 — for example, disclosing information to a public-safety body such as the police where there is a genuine need — the balancing test does not apply to that specific disclosure.
Subject access requests

Who we share data with
We may share data with service providers who help us operate the website, advertising, analytics, forms, messaging, hosting, email, and security. These include Google, Meta / WhatsApp where you contact us through WhatsApp, Cloudflare, PostHog EU Cloud, Directus CMS, and the email provider used to deliver your enquiry to the team. We do not sell customer data.
